SERVICE SCHEDULE

Provider & Customer Responsibilities

  1. The Customeris defined as any party that agrees to consume one or more services from Paratus and is required to comply with these terms and conditions, all Paratus policies and any other specific terms as a condition of receiving, accessing and/or consuming such services.
  2. The Provider refers to any Paratus offering serivces from this website.
  3. The Customer shall abide by all legal obligations imposed by Zambian law as regards the legal operation of any Service.
  4. The Customer shall abide by all obligations imposed by Provider Terms and Conditions (as may be applicable from time to time), as regards the operation of any Service.
  5. The Customer should notify the Provider of any disruptions to the Service caused by, but not limited to, cases where the monitoring performed by the Provider did not indicate any disruption to the Customer.
  6. The Customer is responsible for verifying and testing any configuration changes to ensure such changes perform as expected.
  7. The Customer shall abide by all legal and licensing obligations imposed by the owner, licensee, vendor or supplier of any installed applications or products on or alongside any Service.
  8. The onus is on the Customer to be familiar with any such legal and licensing obligations
  9. The Provider disclaims any warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
  10. The Provider, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees or agents shall not be liable to the Customer or to any third party for any direct, consequential, incidental, exemplary, or punitive losses or damages, including, without limitation, lost profits or data, regardless of the cause thereof, even if the Provider was advised of the possibility of such loss.
  11. The Customer shall abide by all PCI DSS obligations imposed by the owner, licensee, vendor or supplier of any installed applications or products on or alongside any Service.

Paratus Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)

  1. Paratus Cloud IaaS is a scalable multitenant computing infrastructure and capacity platform, provisioned, managed, and consumed over Paratus Connectivity Services or Internet connectivity.
  2. The IaaS platform provides workload resources as a service to the Customer.
  3. Workload resources consist of various configurations of compute (CPU and memory), storage and network capabilities.
  4. Each complete IaaS workload configuration results in a virtual machine (“VM”) and the Customer may utilise any number of virtual servers.
  5. Network resources are required to provide access to local and remote resources and workloads.
  6. VMs may use network resources to interconnect to other systems and platforms, including (but not limited to) other VMs, customer systems and Internet-based platforms or services.
  7. The Customer may utilise each VM to install and run any supported software or application to serve their needs.
  8. The Provider will ensure access to the virtual servers for the purposes of system administration using secure remote access services and protocols
  9. Paratus shall abide by all PCI DSS v3.2.1: 6, 9 and 12 policy requirements.
  10. The Customer should ensure that any system component or requirement for a virtual server is compatible with the IaaS platform, including hardware, software or other technology, as may be current at the time.
  11. The Customer should monitor the availability and operation of the virtual server applications and functions it is intended to provide.
  12. The Customer is responsible for all software, application, or other component installations within the virtual server after provisioning.
  13. The Customer should check and confirm all resource provisioning, configuration and other changes made to the virtual server.
  14. The Customer is responsible for all compliance related to card holder data (CHD) processing, sensitive authentication data (SAD) and PCI DSS guidelines or other components within the virtual server after provisioning.

Paratus Shared Web Hosting (CMS)

  1. Paratus CMS provides self-managed shared web hosting platform.
  2. Paratus CMS provides a self-service HTTPS portal for managing the Service.
  3. Paratus CMS supports several well-known web-based content management systems, including WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla.
  4. Paratus CMS provides the following standard features:
  5. Storage: a data storage quota calculated in gigabytes.
  6. FTP Accounts: user credentials provided for accessing and transferring data to the CMS instance storage repository.
  7. Databases: SQL database instances available for use by applications installed locally in the CMS instance using the management portal.
  8. Sub-domains: are URLs for different sections of the website
  9. The Provider will ensure maintenance, operational support, and expansion of all Dependent Infrastructure to provide any available function or feature included in Paratus CMS capabilities.
  10. The Customer is responsible for all Installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of all website components and content, including security updates.
  11. The Customer should maintain and secure access and user credentials required for operating the hosting instance.
  12. The Customer is responsible for all monitoring website operations, logs and analytics to ensure compliance with relevant local and international laws.
